Charles Edwin Seal, 87, of Edison, passed away peacefully at St. Peters Hospital in New Brunswick on December 5, 2021. He was born on July 2, 1934, in Plainfield, New Jersey. He was loved and cherished by his family, friends and all of those whose lives he touched. Charles was an Army veteran stationed in Arizona during the 1950s. He was an Engineer by trade, working in solar energy. Charles loved the arts and spent many hours behind his easel painting, as well as serving as stage designer for the Alborada Dance Theater Co. He enjoyed spending time with family and researching his heritage and ancestry. An avid sports fan, Charles was often found cheering on his favorite local teams.

He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Mildred Seal and his sisters Jean Fergison and Margaret Sporer.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joyce Seal; his niece, Bonnie Hopta, and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were handled privately under the direction of Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, NJ.
