Charles A. Reick, 88, of Edison, passed away at home on July 17, 2021. He was born on December 5, 1932 in Perth Amboy, son of George and Lillian Reick (Beck). He was the caring brother of two predeceased sisters, Ruth Kaczmarek and Joyce Mathiasen. Charlie was the loving husband for 46 years of his predeceased, love of his life, wife Ethel (Muller). He served in the US Navy during the Korean War on the U.S.S. Corregidor.

Loving father of a predeceased daughter, Cathleen Goedde (2019) and is survived by two daughters, Carol Snyder, husband, John of Elk, WA; Lori Logan, husband Jack, of Ewing, NJ; a son, Alan Reick, and his wife Lisa, of Edison; and son in law Curt Goedde, Hillsborough, NJ; and Uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was a caring and legendary grandfather of six grandchildren Kyle and Kristen Goedde; Cody, Taylor, and Megan Snyder; and Carly Logan; with whom he loved telling stories, sharing his life experiences and wholeheartedly enjoyed being part of their lives; often being right in the middle of the fun, games, and laughter.

He always enjoyed times with family and friends. He shared many memorable vacations with both his family and close friends. He had a passion for vegetable gardening and loved sharing the fruits of his labor, as well as trips to the casino. He spent many summers at the Jersey Shore with his family and was an avid fisherman, always ready with a tale of "the one that got away". Charlie was a Maintenance Mechanic with Witco Chemical Company in Perth Amboy for 25 years.

Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Cremation will be private.
