Charles E. Reed, IV, 69, of Metuchen, passed away on December 30, 2011, at the Haven Hospice Unit at the JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was born in Rahway, and has resided in Metuchen for the last 32 years. Charles was an avid outdoorsman enjoying all types of fishing (especially salmon fishing with his wife), and hunting, especially bear hunting in Canada. He was employed as a Machinist with Premac Inc. of Rahway for over 40 years.

Charles was predeceased by his parents Leona and Charles E. Reed, III.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia (Doran) Reed; his daughter, Bonnie Reed Kasperski and his son-in-law, Peter of Metuchen; his granddaughter, Samantha; his brother, Frank Reed and his wife Alice of Phillipsburg; his adopted mother, Beverly Pray of Rahway; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at 11 a.m. from the Flynn and son/ Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, NJ 08840, with Rev. Peter Hofstra officiating. An Interment service will follow at Hillside Cemetery Metuchen.

Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
