August 18, 1954 – May 21, 2021
Charles T. Logan, Second Born Son of Charles P. and Mary A. Logan, Beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, God Father and Friend, entered into eternal rest on May 21, 2021 at the age of 66.
Born in Perth Amboy, on August 18, 1954, Charles lived there most of his life. After graduating from Saint Mary's High School in 1973, Charles pursued a career as a Chef in the Poconos for many years. This was just one of many different jobs Charles worked at in his lifetime, finally retiring from the US Postal Service several years ago.
Charles loved driving and would often journey back to Mt. Pocono for a day trip. He also loved going to New York City and Red Bank, NJ where he would visit the Dublin Houses in each city.
Charles loved going to Ireland and many times took two trips a year there visiting the Burke and Duffy Families. He loved Ireland so much that he was the holder of both a US and Irish Passport.
Charles was a parishioner of St. Mary's in Perth Amboy which later became part of Saint John Paul II Parish in the City. A lifelong member in good standing of the Commodore John Barry Division #3 of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Charles served in many capacities for the Perth Amboy Division including Vice-President, Financial Secretary and Chairman of the Division's Freedom for All Ireland Committee. Charles for many years also arranged for the Raising of the Irish Flag at City Hall Square as well as the Purchase and Cooking of the traditional Corned Beef served at the Club on St. Patrick's Day. He stepped up and kept those traditions alive.
Predeceased by both his Maternal (Burke) and Paternal (Logan/Dittman) Grand Parents and His Father Charles P. Logan, Charles is Survived by his Mother Mary, Brother Patrick, Sister-in-Law Ann, Brother Brian, Sister-in-Law Bonnie, Sister Nancy, Brother-in-Law Ray, Nephew RJ and many Cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 2-6 PM at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:15 from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords followed by a 11 AM Funeral Liturgy at Holy Rosary Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Cremation will be private.
