Obituary

Charles Finch, 77, of the Menlo Park Terrace section of Woodbridge, passed peacefully at the JFK Medical Center in Edison, on Thursday, November 10, 2016.

Born in Jersey City and a longtime resident of Menlo Park Terrace, Charles served in the U.S. Army, and in 1959, while stationed in Germany, he met and married his first wife, Mary Jane, where they honeymooned in the Swiss Alps.

He later graduated from NYU with a BS degree and was a Tax Accountant with Viacom in New York City for many years. He obtained his driver's license at the age of 30, enjoyed watching sports of all kinds, especially his Boston Red Sox and the Cleveland Browns. On weekends, the TV was found to be on continuously all day and night with just sports playing.

He was a former member of the Menlo Park Terrace Youth Association.

Charles is predeceased by his first wife Mary Jane and his second wife, Caroline, and his two sons, Michael who died in 1968 and Steven, who died in 2004,

He leaves behind, his three daughters, Linda Ellis of Seminole, Florida, Susan Quinones of Portland, Oregon and Judy Chidester of Oak Brook, Illinois, three step children; Kiran Boyce of California, Raj Patel of Queens, NY, and Shilla Patel of Long Beach, NY, a sister, Joan Florio of New Port Richey, FL., nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and his beloved Darla.

"Dad, you were always there for us, when we needed you the most, and now you're gone and there is much sadness in our hearts. It is comforting to know that you will be with Mom, Steven, Carol and Michael and everyone else you loved, that left this world before you."

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 11 am to 12 pm, followed by a 12 noon funeral service at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Ave Fords, NJ 08863

Interment will follow in Lake Nelson Memorial Park Cemetery, Piscataway, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family's only requests is that in memory of their dad, if you smoke, please try to quit as soon as possible, to avoid getting health complications at an early age, causing much pain for your loved ones.
