Charles Cordeiro, 72, of Cranford, passed away suddenly at his home, on Saturday. December 4, 2021.
Born in and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, he had been a resident of Cranford, NJ, for over 40 years.
He was a proud veteran, serving in the US Army from '70-'72 and was a graduate at Thomas Edison Technical School, with the "Class of '69".
Charles was a dedicated worker at Stroehmann Bakery and spent his retirement working at the Garwood Home Depot.
He was an avid handyman, always looking for projects and ways to help his family.
His family and grandchildren were what kept him going. He taught his children and grandchild how to drive, be independent, and succeed in life.
He was predeceased by his parents, Teofilo and Almerinda Cordeiro and best friend and family pet "Buddy".
Charles leaves behind his wife Deborah L Cordeiro of Garwood; his two children: Kathleen M. Vasquez and her husband, Carlos J Vasquez of Woodbridge, and Ryan C. Cordeiro of Hoboken; his three grandchildren; Karina M. Joyner, Sophia I. Vasquez, and Lucas M. Vasquez of Woodbridge; his two brothers; Reinaldo "Ronnie" Cordeiro and wife Barbara Cordeiro of Middletown, and Teofilo Cordeiro and wife Teresa Cordeiro, and his beloved dog "Luna".
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm with a funeral service at 12 noon, with Rev Joseph Desmond officiating, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave, Fords, NJ 08863.
Cremation will follow privately.
