Charles G. Chamak, Sr., 98, of Menlo Park Terrace, passed away at JFK Medical Center on February 14, 2018. He was born in Newark on September 17, 1919.  Charles has resided in Menlo Park Terrace since 1955.  Before retiring in 1986, he was a member of Local 1804-1 Ship Maintenance of the International Longshoreman Association. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII in the North African and European Theatres. He was a member of the American Legion, T. Nulty Post #471. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords.

Charles was predeceased by his wife, Marie Ferraioli Chamak, in 1992; three sisters, Mary Dorin, Dorothy Chamak and Emma Shafer.

He is survived by two sons, George Chamak, and his wife, Donna, of Perth Amboy; Charles Chamak, and his wife, Deborah, of Somerset; three grandchildren Kimberly Collison, and her husband Kevin; Christopher Chamak and his wife Jennifer; and Matthew Chamak; three great-grandchildren, Nolan; Nicholas; and Liam; and a sister, Irene Chamak, of Toms River.

Visitation will be Saturday 7:30-8:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will begin 8:30 am at the funeral home, followed by a 9 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church. Interment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.
