Obituary

Cecelia Stankovitz (nee: Pakla), 95, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to the Lord on December 24, 2012 in Sun City Florida. She was born in Perth Amboy on August 16, 1917, and lived in Hopelawn for most of her life. Cecelia was a talented seamstress and worked for Slumber Sue and Lumured Plastics for 35 years, retiring in 1978. She was a communicant of St. Stephen's Church in Perth Amboy and a member of Hopelawn Seniors.
Cecelia was preceded in death by her loving husband, John; sisters, Stefana Orosz and Mary Urban; and her brothers, Ferdinand and Felix Pakla. She is survived by her daughter,
Diane Mizerek and her husband Tom and son, Gerald and his wife Janet. She is blessed with five grandchildren: Cheryl Fisher and husband Scott, Wendy McAuliffe and husband Bill, Kevin Mizerek and wife Wendy, and Carrie and Eric Stankovitz, She loved her eight great-grandchildren: Jordyn, Alex, and Ryan Fisher, Braden, Adam, and Owen McAuliffe, and Maya and Austin Mizerek.
Funeral services will be held 9:30 AM Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ with a 10 AM funeral liturgy at Blessed John Paul II Parish, St. Stephen's Church, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hopelawn.
Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sun City LifePath Hospice, Sun City Fla.; St. Stephen's Church; or a charity of your choice.
