Catherine "Kay" Porr Walsh, 73,
died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at home.

Born in Manhattan, New York City, Kay resided in Fords, New Jersey, for many years before moving to Lexington, NC in 1987. Kay was a a loving wife of 54 years, mother of seven, and grandmother of eight.

Kay was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Rita Porr; two brothers: William and Thomas Porr; sister, Rita Charles; and her son, Robert Walsh. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Robert Walsh; brother, Harold Porr and his wife Theresa of NY; sister, Maureen Fodor of Florida; two sons: Gary and Richard Walsh of Alaska; daughters, Karen Husko of Alaska, Rita Walsh, Jackie Freeman, and Catherine Newcomb of North Carolina; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Kay's greatest joy was her family and friends and she will be remembered by all for her wonderful sense of humor. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Funeral services will begin on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords. Interment will take place in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, April 17, 2011, from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
