Catherine Joan Zabawa Ciecierski ,93, of Fords, entered into eternal rest May 9, 2017, at her home.  She was born in Jersey City, NJ, and had resided there until 1991, before moving to Fords, NJ.

Catherine was an Office File Clerk at Mechanics Finance Co. in Jersey City for 36 years before retiring in 1986.  After her retirement, she took great joy in spending time at family gatherings and being involved with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony, in 1967.  Catherine is survived by her daughters, Carol Joan Harkowsky of Howell, and Jean Arlene Martin and her husband, Edward, of Fords.  She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords.  Funeral services will be on Saturday at 9:30 am at the Funeral Home followed by a 10 am service in Our Lady of Peace RC Church.  Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, 826 Westside Avenue, Jersey City.
