Obituary

Catherine Chilinski (nee Dudik), 93, a life-long resident of Fords, passed away on December 2, 2016, at Venetian Care in South Amboy, surrounded by her family.  She was a self-employed Seamstress.  She was a communicant of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, an active former member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Fords, a member of the Rosary Society at St. Nicholas, and an Apostolates of St. Nicholas church.

Catherine was predeceased by her husband, John; seven sisters, and one brother.

She is survived by her son, Philip and his wife, Maureen, of Cranford; her daughter, Susan M. Brennan and her husband, Harry, of South Amboy; five grandchildren:  Shannon, Danielle, Michelle, Matthew, and Michael; six great-grandchildren: Shane, Ryan, Brayden, Molly, Erin, and Dean; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 6 at 9:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ, followed by a 10:00 am Service of Divine Liturgy at St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, Perth Amboy.  Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Monday, December 5, from 6:00-9:00 pm with a Parastas service at 7:30.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Catherine's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
