Carolyn A. Birardi, 75, of Edison passed away peacefully at home on July 5, 2025. She was born to Mason and Nellie Kupshik on July 31,1949, and was raised in Cranford, N.J. She was predeceased by her mother in 1972 and her father in 1991.

Carolyn was a breast cancer survivor in 1987. She was a member of the Livestrong group at the Metuchen-Edison YMCA, the Metuchen Senior Center, and the Highland Park Senior Center. Carolyn was a Medical Assistant, Homemaker, Volunteer, Christian, Background Actress, Award Winning Photographer, Artist, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Best Friend. Her passions included traveling, creating all mediums of art, photography, bird watching, and music.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Birardi, in 1989. Carolyn is survived by her son Jeffrey Birardi of Highland Park, son Michael Birardi and wife Amanda of Edison, daughter Wendy Birardi of Edison, longtime partner Fredrick Goff, and grandchildren Rebecca, Logan, and Arabella. Carolyn is also survived by her beloved dachshund Gidget.

Carolyn was a beautiful soul that had the unique ability to touch anyone's heart, and she will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, N.J. 08840, on Thursday, July 10th from 3-7pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday July 11th at 11am in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen.
