Carolyn Bell,74, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Alameda Nursing Center in Perth Amboy. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, on March 15, 1939, Carolyn spent most of her life in Jersey City. She relocated to Perth Amboy one year ago.
Carolyn received a certificate in Nursing from Jersey City State University. She retired from Homemaker-Home Health Aide, where she was certified in the Division of Health Care. She also owned a grocery store called Bell's Grocery Store with her late husband, William Bell.
Carolyn was a member of the Rosary Society of Christ the King Church in Jersey City and was a Lady of the Knights of Peter Claver Newark Abbey District.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Bell, in 1998; her son, William Steven Bell; her idential twin sister, Phyllis Farley, and her brother, Philip Geyer.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Karen Cooper and Kim Lee; her son, Christopher Bell; grandchildren, Tyrone Gary Cooper II, Tylania Ayn Cooper, Christal Smith, Chloe Lewis and William Tyler Daniel Cooper; cousin, Clifton "Mac" Blackwell; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy, on Thursday, June 13, 2013, from 6-8 pm. Cremation will be private.
