Carolee L. Benedetto, 83 of Hazlet, passed peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2018 at the Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel.

Born in Newark and formerly of Port Reading, she had resided in Hazlet for the last 2 years.

She was a former Waitress with Friendly's in Woodbridge, and was an avid bingo player and loved to play cards with her friends.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony Benedetto, who died in 1999.

Carolee leaves behind her beloved son, Dr. Joseph Benedetto and his wife, Sara, of Marion, OH; and her 2 daughters, Doreen Poppe and her husband, Paul, of Avenel and Alissa Mc Coy and her husband, Patrick, of Manalapan; her 5 grandchildren: Shauna, Carly , Amber, Ryan and Alexis.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 2, 2018, from 5 pm to 8 pm  at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen.
