Carole Ann Hoyda, 86, of Fords, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at J.F.K. Medical Center in Edison.  Born in South Amboy to William and Dorothy Grover on March 20, 1939, the family moved to Sayreville where she remained through her high school years.  She was a graduate of Sayreville War Memorial High School with the Class of 1957.  Carole began her career as a Secretary with The National Lead Company (now NL Industries) in Sayreville.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Camp, Dresser & McKee, an Engineering firm in Edison.  Carole was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed knitting.

She married the love of her life, Ronald J. Hoyda, in 1961.  They spent 50 wonderful years together, raised two beloved sons, and joyfully welcomed two grandchildren whom she adored.

Carole was predeceased by her husband, Ronald, in 2012; her parents, William and Dorothy Grover; and her siblings, Mildred Boley, Edwina Matuchek, and Herbie Grover.

She is survived by her two children, Kevin Hoyda and Roger Hoyda; her cherished grandchildren, Matthew Hoyda and Sydney Hoyda; her nieces, Liza Grover, Christine Matuchek, and Lori Amadi; and her nephew, Michael Grover.

Private cremation services were under the direction of Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ.
