Carol Payesko Goggel 67, of Fords, entered into eternal rest, Friday, December 13, 2013, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was born in Irvington, and was formerly of Edison, before moving to Fords 15 years ago.
Carol worked as a payroll clerk at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield for 20 years, after which she was a bookkeeper at Bill Leary Air Conditioning and Heating for 10 years before staying home and enjoying her grandchildren.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R C Church in Fords, and enjoyed playing the lottery and going to the casinos.
Carol was predeceased by her sister Constance Martignetti in 2006. She is survived by her husband William F. Goggel, her children Tracey Ann Leary and her husband Bill of Edison, and William F. Goggel III and his wife Dacia of South Plainfield, her grandchildren Sarah, Amanda, Holly, William F. IV, and Celeste, her siblings Robert Payesko and his wife Gloria of Whiting, and Shirley Testa and her husband Jim of Iselin, and Brother-in-law Armando Martignetti. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews with special thanks to Gina for her kind attention during Carol's last illness.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 18, 2013 at 10 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords followed by a 10:30 am funeral liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church., Entombment will be in St. Gertrude Mausoleum, Colonia. Visitation is Tuesday 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions are requested to Our Lady of Peace Church.
