Carmen Velasquez Mercado, 82, of Parlin, passed peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2014, surrounded with the love of her family at her side, at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Eugenio Mercado (1989) and  beloved son, Roberto Mercado (2006). She leaves behind her five beloved children: Nelson Valez, Eugenio Mercado, Martha Pena, Jose Mercado and Carmen Gonzalez, along with her many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be on Friday, March 28, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861, followed by Funeral Liturgy at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Perth Amboy. Entombment will follow in Alpine Cemetery Mausoleum, Perth Amboy.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March  27, 2014, from 5:00-9:00 pm at the funeral home.
