Carmela " Millie " Alutto (nee: Airo), 82, of Menlo Park Terrace, passed away on June 30, 2013, at Haven Hospice in Edison.
She was born in New York City and resided in Menlo Park Terrace since 1961.
Carmela was a homemaker and also worked as a cashier for 14 years at Alexander's Department store in Menlo Park Mall, retiring in 1989.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords, and a member of the Woodbridge Township Senior Citizens.
Carmela was predeceased by 6 brothers and sisters and her grandson, Matthew Kawka.
Surviving is her husband of 61 years, Anthony; her son, Lawrence of Warren Township; her daughter, Carolyn Kawka and her husband Gary P. of Sparta; granddaughter, Meghan Burton and her husband Keith; her sister Mary Madonia and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10 AM on Friday July 5, 2013, at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords with a 10:30 AM funeral liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen.
Visitation will be held Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
