Obituary of Bridget Nagy


Bridget Nagy, 89, of Oakhurst, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. Mrs. Nagy was born in Perth Amboy to the late Peter and Josephine Svizeny and had previously lived in Fords and Sewaren before moving to Oakhurst twelve years ago.

She was employed as a line tender by Revlon in Edison for thirty years before retiring in 1981.

Bridget loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved crocheting, it was her favorite hobby.

She was predeceased by her husband Louis K. Nagy in 2004 and also by four sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her devoted children: son, Wayne Nagy and Dee of Lewes, DE, daughter, Lorraine M. Steiner and husband Robert of Oakhurst, her loving grandchildren Jeffrey and wife Cari Steiner and David and wife Jill Steiner and also her cherished great granddaughter Celia Lane.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 10:30 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 11 am Mass at the Good Shepherd Parish - Most Holy Rosary RC Church, Hopelawn. Interment will follow in the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Hopelawn. Visitation hours will be held Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
