Brian Charles Hoppel, 52, of Metuchen, entered into eternal rest, January 20, 2016, at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was born in Perth Amboy and was a lifelong resident of Metuchen.

He was a self-employed General Contractor during his working career and served his country in the Air Force during peacetime.

Brian was predeceased by his father, Thomas H. Hoppel, in 2008 and his daughter, Briana Hoppel, in 2014.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Hoppel of Somerset; his sons, Brian Christopher and David of Colorado; his brother, Thomas J. Hoppel, of Budapest, Hungary; and his sister, Joan E. Hoppel of Edison.

Private services were held under the direction of the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen. Entombment is in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum in Piscataway.
