Bill Sklarz, 92, of Edison, passed away at Overlook Hospital on November 15, 2017. He was born in Manhattan on May 19, 1925. Bill was a graduate of Erasmus Hall High School in NYC, Class of 1942, and a graduate of Cornell University, Class of 1946. He served in the US Navy during WWII. Bill was retired as a Chemical Engineer from Merk. Bill had many interests: he enjoyed wine and fine dining, skiing, opera, traveling, and gardening. He played the piano and was a supporter of the arts.

He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Sklarz, in 2016, and a brother Robert "Bob" Sklarz.

Bill is survived by two daughters, Caroline Katz, and her husband, Scott, of Westfield; Elizabeth "Bizzy" Stedina, and her husband, Matt, of Stockbridge, VT, and four grandchildren: Ellie, Nate, William, and Amelia.

Memorial visitation will be at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840, on Saturday, November 25, 2017, 1-3 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
