Bertha Kwasnik, 86, of Edison, passed away on November 9, 2024, at JFK Medical Center, Edison.  Born on April 20, 1938, in Newark to John and Bertha Bartlomiejczyk, Bertha was one of three children.  She lived in Edison for the last 59 years with her husband, Milton, and raised her family.  Bertha was a Mortgage Administrator for First Savings Bank, Woodbridge and retired after 40 years.  She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church and was a member of the OLP Seniors.

Bertha was predeceased by her parents, John and Bertha Bartlomiejczyk; her brother, Chester Bartel; and her sister, Frances Bartlomiejczyk.

She is survived by her husband, Milton Kwasnik, of 66 years; her sons, Milton Kwasnik, Jr. and daughter-in-law Terri; John Kwasnik and fiancé Katarzyna Gredzinski; her four grandchildren: Alexandra, Joshua, Matthew and Jessica.  Bertha also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends to cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 12 :45 PM from Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, followed by a 1:15 PM Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords.  Entombment will follow in St. Gertrude's Cemetery Mausoleum, Colonia.
