Obituary

Bernice Kecskes (nee: Watkins), 92, passed away on December 21, 2017, at the Manor Care Center in Freehold.
She was born in Cushing, TX, and had resided in Perth Amboy and Old Bridge before moving to Freehold.
As a young woman, she moved to New Orleans to support the war effort as "Rosie The Riveter" during WWII. As a native Texan, she never forgot her southern roots.
Bernice was predeceased by her husband, Stephen E. Sr., in 2004 and by her sisters: Ruth, Dorothy and Gwendolyn.
Surviving are her sons: Stephen E. Jr. and his wife, Joan, of Jackson and Robert of Hopewell; her daughters: Linda Lepping and her husband, James, of Monroe; and Susan Olsen and her husband, Peter, of Matawan; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
Private funeral services are under the direction of Flynn and Son Funeral Home, Fords.
