Bernice A. (Adamec) Cannamela, 80, of Perth Amboy, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at home, surrounded by her family. Born in Perth Amboy, she was a life-long resident and a graduate of Perth Amboy High School class of 1955.  Bernice was a member of Good Shepherd Parish of Holy Rosary Church, Hopelawn, served on the PTA and volunteered in the cafeteria.  She was a member of Raritan Yacht Club Ladies Auxiliary.  Bernice worked for Chevron Oil, Perth Amboy, as a Chief Clerk and Billing Specialist for 10 years, and then worked as a Customer Service Representative for NJ Bell now Verizon, Cranford for 22 years.

Bernice is survived by her husband Armand, to whom she was married to for 58 years; two sons, Frank and his wife Barbara of Wall Township and Paul of Perth Amboy; three grandchildren, Paul Jr., Kelsey and Frank, Jr; sister-in-law Leonora Cannata.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 9:15 am from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords followed by a 10 AM Mass at Good Shepherd Parish of Holy Rosary Church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Sayreville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Good Shepherd Parish of Holy Rosary Church.
