Beni C. D'Amore, 61, of Fords died December 8, 2011, at JFK Medical Center Edison.

He was born December 1, 1950, in Newark and lived the past 30 years in Fords. For the last 19 years, he was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Bridgewater. He served in the US Navy for 23 years from 1971-1994. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church, member of the bell choir, was a volunteer with Caring Hearts at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, life member of NERA, and an avid bowler.

Beni is predeceased by his father, Beni, who passed away in 1996. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jean (Glucksman); a son, Beni III and his wife Laura of Weymouth, MA; a daughter, Gigi of Burbank, CA; granddaughters, Sophie and Lola; and his mother, Helena D'Amore.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at 10 AM from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ, followed by a 10:30 AM Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church Fords. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen.
Visitation will be Monday, December 12, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM.
