Obituary

Our loving Aunt, Beatrice E. Reynolds, left the Earth on January 21, 2021.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her gentle spirit.
She was born in Metuchen, to parents Ella and Leslie Reynolds. She lived in Metuchen, until the family home was demolished, to expand a parking lot.  Yes, "they paved paradise...". She moved to Woodbridge, and lived there until she outlived her doctors, handymen and landscapers.
Then, she moved into The Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge.  The staff at The Reformed Church Home Assisted Living took excellent care of her for 5 years.   She died after a very brief illness.  Despite numerous requests to live with her out of state family, she would reply "I was born in New Jersey and I will die in New Jersey."  Which she did at the age of 95.
She was a lifelong member of The Reformed Church of Metuchen.
She graduated from Metuchen High School in 1943.  Before the summer of '43 was over, she began working at Merck and Co.
She worked there until retirement in 1989.  She knew NYC like the back of her hand, which of course, made her the very best tour guide.
She attended plays and musicals on Broadway and 42nd Street.
She loved nature and took every opportunity to be outdoors.  She was a member of the Woodbridge Garden Club.
She travelled extensively in Europe, the USA and the Holy Lands.
She made the very best ginger cookies and watched Jeopardy faithfully.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Margaret Beaves, Eleanor Fentiman, Patricia Reynolds, John Reynolds, and nieces Carol Fentiman and Betty Fentiman Zak.
She is survived by her sister Margarets' children: Bobbie, Bill, Warren, Nancy, Margaret and Suzanne.  Also, 10 great nieces and nephews, 10 great, great nieces and nephews and 2 great, great, great nieces and nephews.  We are so happy she was part of our family.  We are all better people because of her love.
Private service and burial under the direction of Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Old Stone Church/Saddle River Reformed Church, 500 East Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, NJ 07458 her final resting place.
