Barry R. Mortensen, 61, of Freehold died March 29, 2011 at Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center, Freehold.

Born in Perth Amboy, he resided in Perth Amboy for 30 years before moving to Parlin and Freehold. Barry worked for 10 years in the Maintenance Department with the NJ Turnpike Authority, and then in the Human Services Department at Marlboro State Hospital, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Perth Amboy, Boy Scout Troop # 10 in Perth Amboy and Raritan Mason Lodge #61.

Barry was predeceased by his parents Robert and Dorothy (Ludwigsen). Her is survived by his sister, Karla Hinkel of Greencastle, IN; nephew, Jeffrey Hinkel; aunt, Marie Kseniak;
cousins, Diane Canto and Robert Thullesen.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 1, 2011, at the First Presbyterian Church of Perth Amboy, 250 High Street, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 31, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00, FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy.
