Barbara P. Dobranski (nee: Lyon), 52, of Woodbridge, passed away on April 2, 2012, at Overlook Hospital in Summit.
She was born in Perth Amboy on March 30, 1960, and resided in Woodbridge for the last 30 years. Barbara worked in the Physical Fitness Department at the Metuchen/Edison YMCA for 10 years and most recently at Barnes & Noble in Menlo Park. She had a passion for cooking and baking, sharing her treats with friends and neighbors. She was a volunteer at Rahway Hospital and was an avid runner.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 31 years, Thomas; her daughters, Shannon Lyon-Dobranski of Woodbridge and Skye Gilmartin and her husband, Bobby, of Hightstown.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012, at 8:30 PM at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863 with viewing from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure at http://www.komen.org.
