Barbara Chabay's Obituary
Barbara Chabay (Csabai), 74, died on December 29, 2010 at her residence.
Born and raised in Perth Amboy, she was a graduate of St. Mary's High School. A life-long resident of Fords, she was employed by Woodbridge Township Schools as a secretary for JFK High School for 52 years, retiring in 2005. She had been a member of the Search Auxiliary for Autistic Children in Ocean Township, and a member of Women in Faith in Woodbridge. Barbara was an avid animal lover, and also a supporter of ballet companies in New York.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Elizabeth Csabai, and a brother John Lincoln Chabay. Barbara is survived by her niece Susan Buchenberger of North Carolina, and nephew Edward Chabay of Washington, DC. She is also survived by three grand-nieces and two grand-nephews.
Friends may call from 1-4 pm on Sunday at the Flynn & Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, where Funeral Services will follow at 4pm. Cremation will take place privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara's memory to the Woodbridge Animal Shelter, 2 George Frederick Dr., Woodbridge, NJ 07095.
