Barbara Alfano-Horn, 83, of Fords, passed away at Millennium Memory Care in Freehold on August 22, 2021.  Born in Brooklyn, NY,  on September 18, 1937, she had resided in Fords for over 40 years.

Barbara was a fun loving and compassionate woman.  Her greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Barbara was a true friend, who could light up a room with her warm smile, and contagious laughter.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace RC Church where she taught CCD.  Barbara had been employed as an Assistant Buyer with The Home Depot at their corporate offices in Piscataway.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Jerry Alfano, in 1990 and her second husband, Walter Horn, in 2017.

She is survived by her children: Gerald Alfano and his wife, Lynn; Steven Alfano and his wife, Debbie; Lisa Bizzaro; and Dina Sczepanski and her husband, Paul; grandchildren: Scott, Matthew, Steven, Andrew, DeAnna, Robert, Samantha and Kiera; great-grandchildren: Logan, Mason, Evander and Harlow; step-sons, Robert and Richard Horn; and brothers, Charlie and Michael Simonelli.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 9:00-10:00 AM at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863.  A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 AM followed by a 10:30 AM Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords. Repast will follow immediately after church service.

Interment will be held privately on Monday, August 30th in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
