Aysia I. Mitchell, 23, of Fords, passed peacefully at her home, on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, after a long courageous battle with brain cancer.

She was born in Hackensack, NJ, and had resided in the Fords section of Woodbridge Twp., for the last 20 years.  Aysia was a graduate of Woodbridge High School, with the "Class of 2016", and was a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City, with the Class of 2018.  She was an aspiring actress, and talented singer.

She was a member of the Woodbridge High School Choir, as well as the Swim Team, the Cross Country Track Team, the Drama Club and a Mentor Ambassador for the Girl Scouts of America at the High School.

She leaves behind her beloved parents, Quovella and Ian Mitchell and her beloved younger brother, Ian "Angel" Mitchell; her maternal grandmother, LaVerne Hall of East Orange, NJ; and her paternal grandmother, Vivian Mitchell of Port St. Lucie, FL. She also leaves a host of other family members and friends to cherish her memory.

A memorial visitation will take place on Monday, January 10, 2022, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm, with a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., NJ 08863.
