Arthur Melchior, 93, of Edison, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. He was born in Belleville on September 22, 1931. Arthur grew up in Bellville before moving to Avenel for 45 years, where he then moved to Whiting for 20 years and most recently lived in Edison. Arthur was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War. After serving his country, Arthur worked in hardwood flooring and vending machine supply. Some of the things Arthur enjoyed most in life were woodworking, fishing, and playing pool.

Arthur is predeceased by his loving wife Carol, who passed in 2017, and his beloved dog, Spanky.

Surviving Arthur are his 3 children, Don Melchior and his spouse Rose, Donna Collins and her spouse Michael, and Carol Ann Murphy and her spouse Tim; 9 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved very much.

Cremation will be private under the direction of Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, Metuchen, NJ. Entombment will take place on Monday, May 19, 2025, 11:00 am at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ
