Arlene Georgio, 89, of Metuchen, passed away at home on February 23, 2015. She was born October 11, 1925 in Perth Amboy. She was retired from being a receptionist at Bayer Pharmaceuticals in Woodbridge. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School. She was a member of the Woodbridge American-Irish Club. She was a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral and a member of the Alter Rosary Society. Arlene was a fan of Rutgers Football and enjoyed trips to Alantic City.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Georgio Sr., in 1974; brother, James Desmond; sister, Laverne Jones and nephew, Craig Desmond.
Arlene is survived by her son, Charles Georgio Jr.; nephew, James Desmond, of Arizona; niece, Laura Cahill and her husband, Patrick, of Edison; grandnieces, Kylie and Erin; many cousins and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, 4-8 pm at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840. Funeral Services will begin Friday 9:30 am at the funeral home. A 10:15 Funeral Liturgy will be offered at St.Francis Cathedral in Metuchen. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
