It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Arlene Gardella on Tuesday August 30, 2022. Arlene is predeceased by her parents, Steve and Anna Rybak.

Arlene was born on January 8, 1949, in Perth Amboy and was raised in Carteret. She graduated Carteret High School, class of 1966. She attended Wilkes College and earned a BS in English Education in 1970. Arlene continued her education at Nova University where she earned her Master's plus 45 credits. Arlene was an English teacher at Madison Central High School/Old Bridge High School, retiring in 2008.

Arlene is survived by her husband of 41 years, David Sr., sons David Jr., Steven Sr., and his wife Jessica. Grandchildren David III, Addison, Steven Jr. Gardella, and Aidan Vega. Arlene always had a special spot in her heart for her furry cat children Odie, Cali, Sophie, and Bubba. They all miss their mom.

Private services were under the direction of Flynn and Sons Funeral Home, Fords NJ. Interment was at St. Gertrude's Crucifix Mausoleum Colonia, NJ, on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
