Antonio Pugliese, 82, of Edison, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. Beloved husband of 53 years of Rosa Pugliese (nee: Fiamingo). Loving father of Marcela Henriques and husband Adriano and Silvia Caponegro and husband Christopher. Cherished grandfather of Alexandria Henriques, Michael Henriques and Alessia Caponegro. Caring brother of Francesco Pugliese and wife Maria, and the late Tommaso Pugliese and late wife Giuseppina, Giuseppe Pugliese and his surviving wife Maria, and Domenico Pugliese and his surviving wife Angelina. Antonio is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Antonio was born in Spilinga, Italy, to Pasquale and Michelina Pugliese. He then lived in Argentina for many years before emigrating to the United States where he initially settled in Newark in 1972. In Newark, Antonio established and operated Pugliese's Deli/Pizzeria until his retirement in 2003. Former parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church in Newark. Antonio was also a member of the Spilingese Social Club in Newark, NJ.

Family and friends may gather on Friday, October 16 ^th , from 8:30am to 9:30am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue in Fords. A prayer service will commence at 9:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens in Woodbridge.
