Antonio "Tony" Gaspar, 76, of East Brunswick, passed away on December 21, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.
He was born in Perth Amboy, moved to Colonia in 1977 and resided the past 6 years in East Brunswick.
Antonio was a self-employed accountant, a communicant of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Perth Amboy, a member of the Fords VFW Post 6090 and the Portuguese Sporting Club in Perth Amboy.
He was predeceased by his parents, Armindo and Maria (Nunes). Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Maria (Silva), his daughter, Jill Ann Gaspar-Higgins and her husband Mark of Arlington, Va., his grandchildren, Julian and Alexandra; also surviving are his brothers, Euzebio and John Gaspar, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:15 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. A 10 AM Service of Requiem will be held St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Perth Amboy. Cremation will be private. Viewing will be held Friday 2-4 and 7- 9 PM.
