Antoinette "Toni" Scheubel, 92, of Cedar Crest Village, Pompton Plains, NJ, passed peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at her home.

Born March 9, 1930 in Elizabeth, NJ, to the late Lena and Louis DeVino, she spent her childhood in Newark, NJ. She later moved to the Fords section of Woodbridge Township, where she resided for 58 years and was a member of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church.

She was a graduate of East Side High School in Newark where she met her future husband, the love of her life, Harold "Lefty" Scheubel, who died too early in 1991. She loved working at the FBI and continued to keep in touch with her many friends and colleagues from her time spent there.

She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Leah Kronthal, and son-in-law, Jeffrey of Green Village, NJ; her three grandchildren, Melissa Kronthal and her husband Aaron Salsbury of Morristown, NJ, Lauren Kronthal and her fiancé, Dr. David Janhofer of NYC, and Daniel Kronthal of St. Louis, MO; her two great-grandchildren, Henry and Camden Salsbury of Morristown; her sisters, Emily and Edward (deceased) Cupoli of Mantoloking, NJ, and Terry and Peter Pelosi of Florham Park, NJ; and her amazing caregiver, Harriet MacTay. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well.

Visitation will take place on Friday evening, December 2, 2022, from 6-8 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 9 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, followed by a 9:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Fords.

Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Woodbridge.
