Obituary

Antoinette "Toni" Mauro-Mola, 89, of Fords, passed away peacefully at the Sunrise Assisted Living Center in East Brunswick on April 19, 2018. She was born in Perth Amboy on September 3, 1928, to Augusto and Santa Mauro. She graduated Perth Amboy High School in 1944 and went on to become a Supervisor for NJ Bell Telephone for 38 years, retiring in 1983. She was communicant and usher at Most Holy Rosary Church and the past President of the Holy Rosary Seniors. Toni was also the past President of the Telephone Pioneers, as well as the past Secretary and Treasurer of the Lioness Club. She was a member of the Perth Amboy Women's Club and a volunteer with the Raritan Bay Medical Center's Women's Auxiliary. Toni was always up for an adventure and loved to travel.  She also enjoyed a good story and was a very avid reader. Most importantly, Toni was adored by her family, who lovingly referred to her as "Sis" or "Aunt Sis".  She was a generous, loving, and classy woman who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Toni was predeceased by her husband, Patsy V. Mola in 2005, as well as her five late brothers: Joseph, Lewis, Anthony, Salvatore and William Mauro.

Toni is survived by a brother, Nicholas M. Mauro, of St. James, NY, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave.,

Fords, NJ 08863, Sunday 3-7 pm. Funeral Services will begin Monday 9 am at the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Holy Rosary Church of Good Shephard Parish. Entombment will be in Good Shepherd Mausoleum in St. Gertrude Cemetery.
