Anthony A. Ziemba, Sr., of Fords passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011, at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison; he was 89 years old. Born in Perth Amboy, he had been a resident of Fords for 49 years.

Anthony was a carpenter for Oak Tree Construction in Edison for 45 years. He was communicant of Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords, and a member of the American Legion Post #45 in Perth Amboy.

He is predeceased by his wife, Rosalind (1975); daughter-in-law, Janet L. (2008); a granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn (1980); a sister, Cecelia Smith (2008); and a brother, Joseph (2004). Anthony is survived by his son, Anthony A. Ziemba, Jr. of Edison; his sister, Doris Thomas, of Perth Amboy; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011, at 10:00 AM from FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, followed by a 10:30 AM Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM at the funeral home.
