Anthony ("Tony") Scialabba, passed away on April 7, 2017, at the Veteran's Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he spent 24 years serving his country in the United States Air Force. Upon his retirement, he worked at Bigio Collection in NYC as a runner. He was an avid Mets and Giants fan. Anthony enjoyed horseracing and bowling.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Scialabba; and five siblings: Vincent Scialabba, Terry Miele, Louis Scialabba, Elizabeth Brown, and Thomas Scialabba. He is survived by his brothers: Joseph "JR", Michael (Margie) and John (Betty) Scialabba; his devoted niece/caretaker, Deborah Friedman and her equally devoted husband, Robert; his niece, Vicki Flood and her companion, Anthony Antenna; and a host of other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by his special friend and companion, Anna, and her family.
A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Noon at the Calverton National Cemetery in Wading River, NY.
