Anthony Muia, 76, of Sewaren, passed away at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick on June 7, 2016. Born in Spilinga, Italy, he resided in Sewaren for the past 42 years. Prior to his retirement, Anthony was a Machinist with General Dynamics in Avenel for 10 years. He was a communicant of St. Anthony's of Padua and enjoyed playing bocci ball and soccer.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Maria (Carbone) Muia in 1988; his brothers, Charlie and Giuseppe Muia; and his sister, Theresa Minniti.

Anthony leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Pasquale "Pat" and his wife, Stacy, of FL; Victoria Mehes and her husband, Stephen, of Woodbridge; and Angela Liebl and her husband, Scott, of Edison; his grandchildren: Stephen, Nicholas, Gianna, Maria and Katie; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Friday, June 10, 2016, at 8:45 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863, followed by a 9:30 am Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Port Reading, NJ. Entombment will be in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge, NJ. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6:00-9:00 pm at the funeral home.
