Anna Verrico (Marra), age 85 passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, at her home in Edison. She was born in Anitrella, Monte San Giovanni Campani, Frosinone Italia on June 6, 1941. Anna came to the United States with her family when she was 14 years old in 1960, at age 19, she decided to go back to Italy to marry the man that would be her soulmate, and the love of her life. They came to New Jersey to start a new life and a family. Anna was known as the cookie lady because she loved to bake her famous cookies and give them to everyone. She also loved to crochet baby blankets, and made sure that every new baby received one. She was a member of the Our Lady of Peace Columbites and would not miss a single day of saying the rosary.She was predeceased by her parents Lauterio Marra and Maria Ottaviani, her husband of 41 years, Antonio Verrico, and her son Virgilio Verrico. She is survived by her Daughter Giulia Forsythe, her grandchildren Anthony and his Fiancé Kristen, Felicia and her Fiancé Jonathan, Daniella, and hergreat grandbaby Eliana Isabel.

Visitation will be at the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home 23 Ford Ave., Fords NJ 08863, on Thursday, July 9,2026, from 9-10 am. Funeral services will begin at the funeral at 10 am followed by 10:30 Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church. Entombment will be in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
