Subject: Anna Sovart Obituary

Anna (Nan) Vincz Sovart passed peacefully with her family by her side on April
1, 2015 at the Highlands Care One Center in Edison. Born in Jersey City, Ann
moved to Edison when she was 5 years old and has been a lifelong resident ever
since. While growing up, Nan was awarded "Miss Phoenix," named after a former
section of town which was later replaced by Route 287. Nan was married to her
beloved husband Michael R. Sovart on 08-31-1941 at the First Presbyterian Church
of Fords, where she seldom missed a Sunday service. Michael passed away on
10-01-1982 at the age of 69 years old. Nan was also predeceased by her three
dear brothers, Michael, John, and Joseph Vincz all of Edison.

Nan worked over 25 years at Curran Pfieiff Corporation on Liddle Avenue in Edison. Nan was
later one of the first custodian matrons who worked at Edison High School for a
period of over 10 years. Nan was affectionately known by students and faculty
as "Annie." She was a good listener with a big heart who was a best friend to
all. In her later years, Nan was an active member of the Clara Barton Seniors
and the Hungarian American Club. To her family, she was the most caring mother
and grandmother in the world. No one could match her cooking talents,
especially her homemade stuffed cabbage which was often a feature of her Sunday
dinners.

Nan is survived by her beloved daughter, Dolores and her husband
Ronald Gerba; her three beloved grandsons, Todd Gerba and his wife Karleen,
Scott Gerba and his finance Merissa, and Jason Gerba; a sister in law Vera
Vincz of Edison; and her wonderful care giver and special friend of 8 years,
Mariska.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue,
Fords, followed by a 10 am service at the First Presbyterian Church in Fords. Interment will be in
Clover Leaf Memorial Park. Visitation is Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm
