Obituary

Anna Mae E. Plavac, 93, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday June 29, 2024. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Regina and Frank Dickriede she had fond memories of growing up with a large family that enjoyed both city & rural lifestyles.

She eventually settled in Edison, New Jersey, where she proudly raised five children with her husband Milan M. Plavac who died in 2003. Anna Mae was a role model as a Homemaker to her daughters, Jane Kiernan and her husband, Henry Kiernan,; Janet Sovart and her deceased husband, Ken Sovart; June Lazaro and her husband, Fernando Lazaro. Also benefiting from her example are sons, Frank Plavac married to Nancy Reese, and Nick Plavac.

She is also survived by six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four great step-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Her deceased siblings were Vincent, Rudy, Leon, Evangeline, Margie, Mary Jane, and Dolores.

Taking pride in her flower and vegetable gardens, she enjoyed sharing her green thumb skills with friends and family. Activities such as church choir, alter rosary, senior club and card groups stimulated Anna Mae's active curiosity. While having coffee outside she enjoyed the seasons with her beloved birds and assorted critters.
