Ann Marie
Seaman
November 29, 2023
It is with profound sadness that the family of Ann Marie Seaman announces her unexpected passing on November 29, 2023. Ann was born in Perth Amboy but resided in Edison for her entire life. She will always be remembered as a loving sister to MaryAnn Matthiessen, and a caring aunt to her two favorite nephews, Christopher and Ryan Matthiessen. She was predeceased by her mother, Yolanda Seaman in 2015, father, Judge Edward Seaman in 2021, and her brother David. She leaves behind an uncle, aunts, and many cousins.
Ann graduated as the Salutatorian from JP Stevens HS Edison in 1988 and in 1992 graduated with Honors from Princeton University with a degree in economics. While at Princeton she was a member of Charter Club. She loved "her" Princeton Tigers and would follow their sports regularly. She began her career with Merrill Lynch as a licensed broker. Most recently, she was employed by Paychex, where she held numerous positions over the last 20 years and had many friendships, which she missed when the company went fully remote.
Ann was kindhearted, never complained, and could be counted on to make you laugh with her vibrant sense of humor. She loved her flower garden and cultivating new plants. She also loved travelling to Mexico, Bermuda, Aruba, and Disney, but selflessly put many of her travel plans on hold being the sole caregiver for both her mother and father during the last decade, taking better care of them than anyone else ever could. In exchange, she was thrilled to hear about the journey of others, always querying and hoping one day she could go. She would rather be excited for you than to ever complain about something bothering her.
She had a positive soul with exceedingly high intellect. We hope she knows how much she will be missed. If Ann may have touched your life in some way, please consider a donation to your favorite charity in her name or leave a flower by her graveside with a kind word to her in return, we know it would touch her. Friends may visit the Flynn and Son / Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave. Metuchen, NJ 08840, Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from 9:30 am to 10 am. She was a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen, as such a mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday December 13th at 10:30am at the Cathedral, followed by interment at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.
