Ann Elizabeth Hucko (née Meyer), 89, of North Brunswick, NJ, died Sunday April 15 in Waukesha, WI after a brief illness. One of seven sisters, Mrs. Hucko was born in Perth Amboy on April 21, 1928. She later moved to North Brunswick in 1965 to raise her family.
Ann was a graduate of Perth Amboy HS as well as St. Peter's School of Nursing in New Brunswick, and earned her BS from St. Louis University MO. Mrs. Hucko was also a Navy Veteran, having served as an RN in the Medical Corps for six years, achieving the rank of Lieutenant. Upon discharge, Ann worked as a nursing supervisor at Perth Amboy General Hospital.
A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Hucko was a communicant of Our Lady of Hungary in Perth Amboy, and Our Lady of Lourdes in Milltown, NJ.
Ann was predeceased by her husband Samuel Hucko Jr. in 1996. She was also predeceased by three of her sisters: Miss Margaret Meyer of Perth Amboy, NJ; Mrs. Helen Bottansky of Fords, NJ; and Mrs. Betty Maniscalco of Perth Amboy, NJ.
Mrs. Hucko is survived by her by children, Stephen Hucko, of New York, NY, and his fiancée Shirley Ling, also of New York; Susan Hucko, of North Brunswick; Christine Dzwierzynski and her husband, Dr. William Dzwierzynski, of Elm Grove, WI; and Matthew Hucko and his wife, Stephanie of Charlotte NC. Ann is also survived by her five grandchildren: Beth, Julianna, and Kim Dzwierzynski, of Elm Grove, WI; and Samuel and John Hucko of Charlotte NC. In addition, Mrs. Hucko is survived by her three remaining siblings: Mrs. Mary Boska, of Alexandria, VA; Mrs. Theresa Labas and her husband, Raymond, of Woodbridge, VA; and Sister Rita Meyer, FDC of Staten Island, NY., and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ. 08863, on Friday, April 27, 2018, from 2-4 pm, and 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will begin Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 9:30 am at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will follow, 10 am at Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. Interment will be in Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
