Angela Cappiello Somma, 94, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 25, 2011, at the Roosevelt Care Center in Edison.

Angela was born in Jersey City. She resided in Keasbey for 29 years before moving to Iselin 9 years ago. Prior to her retirement in 1986, Angela was a sample-maker seamstress in New York City's garment district for 50 years. She was a communicant of Holy Rosary RC Church in Hopelawn and a former member of the Fords and Keasbey Senior Citizens. She had a passion for cooking and sewing, a talent that she shared with her family and friends.

Angela was predeceased by her husband, Frederick, in 1981; her brother, Anthony J. Cappiello; her nephew, George J. Quattrone; and her niece, Linda Cappiello. She is survived by her sisters: Anna Gironda and Mary Bozza of Edison, Dolores C. Quattrone of Fords, and Rose V. Cappiello of Iselin; nieces and nephews: Joan Marie Buccola, Ronald and Robert Gironda, Gloria De Marzo, and Lawrence Cappiello; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011, at 9:00 AM from the FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ, followed by a 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary RC Church in Hopelawn. Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, December 28, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm at the funeral home.
