Angela (Corio) Canales, 71, of Edison, NJ, passed peacefully at her home, with the love of her family at her side, on Saturday, June 13, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on April 9, 1955, in Jersey City, NJ and had resided for most of her life in Edison Twp.

She was a graduate of Snyder High School with the “Class of 1973” and in 1977 she received her BS degree in Sociology at Jersey City State College.

She was a devout catholic and communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church.

She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Philip and Anne Corio.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 47 years, Angel Canales, her daughter, Jennifer Di Fabio and her husband Daniel of Brick, her 2 sons, Adam Canales and his wife, Jillian of Nutley and David Canales of Edison, her 2 cherished grandchildren; Gemma Canales and Dash Di Fabio.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 4 pm to 8 pm, at the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.

Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 10 a.m. from the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords.

A procession to Rosehill Crematory, US Hwy 1 North, at 792 E. Edgar Rd , Linden NJ 07036 will follow the mass.
