Angel David Torres, 65, of Perth Amboy, passed peacefully on Wednesday, November 4, 2014 at his home, with his family at his side.
He was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico and was formerly of Sharpsville, PA, before moving to Perth Amboy 25 years ago.
He had been a driver for Auto Salvage of Englishtown before becoming disabled 32 years ago. Prior to that he had been employed with the Water Co. in New Brunswick.
He was a Golden Gloves Boxer in Franklin Twp. & a wrestler, football and track star at Sharpsville High School in Sharpsville, PA. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and enjoyed boating. He was predeceased by his parents Aurelio and Esperanza Perez Torres
He was a loving brother, uncle and friend.
He is survived by his brother, Hector Emilio Torres of Sayreville, his four sisters, Lourdes Maria Albaranga of Rockville MD, Margarita Roman, Myrta Torres and Marilyn Torres of Perth Amboy, a nephew, Alexi Torres and a niece, Sabrina Nicole Williams and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews Visitation will be on Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Flynn and son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave. Perth Amboy from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with a service at 8 p.m.
A private cremation will follow.
