Obituary

Angel A. Guzman, 84, of Carteret, passed away, at Haven Hospice in JFK Medical Center, on October 8, 2020. He was born on February 27, 1936, in Lares, Puerto Rico. Angel served in the US Army.  He was a member of the Perth Amboy Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed boxing and baseball. His favorite hobby was reading.

Angel was predeceased by his wife, Gladys Guzman, in 2019.

He is survived by six children: Angel Guzman, and his wife, Evelyn, of Perth Amboy, Leticia Guzman, of Carteret, Maria Lisboa, and her husband, Gilberto, of Perth Amboy, Norma Perez, and her husband, Richard, of Edison, Zaida Gonzalez, of Carteret, and Enrique Guzman, and his wife, Amy, of Carteret; nine grandchildren: Jytza. Melissa, Tamara, Richard, Bethany, Jeremy, Jacian, Rebecca, and Angel; two great-grandchildren: Jayven and Everly.

He is survived by siblings: Olga, Carmen, Nilda, Jorge, Ventura, Samuel, Gloria, Wilfredo, Lydia, Jose Luis and Dolores.

Visitation will be Monday, October 12, 2020, 3-7 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. Services will be Tuesday 10 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Linden.
